The Compass of My Soul

Like the compass shows the direction,
Universe reveal your existence to my soul.
Like the map that guides the lost,
Fate directs me to you.
As the compass needle always points to the North,
My journey point me toward you.
Like pathway lead men to the right place,
Every step I take lead me to you.

To Love and Let Go

I love the rain,
But I know it could make me sick.
So I carry an umbrella or wear a coat.

I love the ocean,
But I can't swim.
If I jump in, I'd undoubtedly drown
So I just stay on the shore,
Feeling the wind, and listening to the waves.

I love you,
But I’ve decided to walk away,
Only seeing you as a distant shadow,
Because I know,
Love doesn't always mean being together.

Lost In His

And there’s a man,
his dark eyes,
like a night without moon and stars,
not blue like the ocean,
but I drown in his gaze,
deeper than the sea can hold.

And his hair,
like a shadowy forest,
without light,
but I’m willing to get lost there.

Yet his smile,
warm and bright like dawn,
redeem the darkness of the night that has passed,
guide me to daylight.

The Void

The stars filled the sky,
but I saw only vacuity.
The full moon emerged,
but I saw only darkness.
The sun rose,
but I remained in the dark night.
Cacophony echoed around me,
but I heard only my tears.
Men came with affection and joy,
but I felt only the agony dwelling in my soul.

Memory of you

A new day will begin,
and time will pass.
New people will come,
but some may go.
A new story will unfold,
and memories might fade away.
But you will remain in my heart.

The Longing

This is about longing
A feeling that grows with each passing day
Flaring up and digging deeper
Piercing the depths of my heart
Craving a reunion
Releasing the buried and insurmountable feelings
Unleashing dreams and yearning.

The Day of Sorrow

As the sun set on that day
I gazed at the sky with a deluge of sorrow
Burdened by longing
With his face,
Lingering incessantly in my mind
Continuing to suffocate me

The Encounter

I met a man
In the time of serendipity
Our eyes locked for a moment
Captured the most beautiful smile
Mesmerized me in a daze
Made my mind filled with him
Then, I realized
That's what people call love

Yearning

This is not poetry, nor a poem, but a confession of what the mouth hesitates to say  of a yearning that burns like fire, as if I sit on the ...
